In this essayfilm, I explore my own cultural identities and investigate the tension I feel between them. I discovered that holding a camera changed how people talked and addressed me. It told me something different about the person being filmed and our relationship. I asked my parents questions that I already asked them before, but they answered differently. Pointing a camera at them changed our encounter and produced a different kind of narrative.
